Okay...it's never gonna happen if I don't give it a try. Sue, my first follower! from Suebees-KarenSue has been trying to get me to make my first post, but I was wanting my front page to look "perfect". So, it is not, yet, as I want it to look, but we can keep working on it, right? I am not sure how to add photos to the top (fender?)or whether this is even going to post correctly, but here goes...
I went to Tampa to Robyn Story Designs on Saturday to buy my first two cans of Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint and a can of clear and a can of dark wax. I was anxious to try them out so here are the pictures of my very first project. I LOVE the paint but, I need to practice a bit with the dark wax...only need a little bit...but easy to clean up the over-wax by clear waxing and also a little more sanding.
I used the "Old White" on the sconces and layered the dark then clear wax. I am getting ready to start a new project...a night stand with "Old White" on the body of the piece and "Louis Blue" on the drawers. I'll post the pictures when I'm finished.
Check out the sconces I just finished. (I hope the pictures show up!) If the pictures don't show up then...well....help, Sue, help!!!
